Michael Watt
Michael Watt retired from practice as of 31st October 2022.
Michael joined Crawford & Lockhart as an apprentice solicitor in September 1969, working in the firm for 53 years. His wisdom, experience and kindness will be missed and we wish him a long and very happy retirement.
We wish to congratulate Michael upon his recent investiture, receiving the MVO award from the Princess Royal.
David Gray
David Gray retired from practice as of 31st October 2022.
He qualified as a solicitor in 1985, joining Culbert & Martin Solicitors the same year. Following Culbert & Martin's merger with C&J Black in 2019 he joined as a consultant and in 2021 joined the firm's merger to Crawford Lockhart Black.
David brought knowledge, empathy and adaptability, centred on his client-focussed practice and we are grateful for his immense input.
We wish him the very best for the future.

SOLICITOR ROLE: We are seeking to recruit a solicitor with 2+ years PQE
Experience in conveyancing is essential. Case-work will include both domestic and commercial conveyancing.
Commercial conveyancing experience including background in having handled purchases and leases would be preferred but this is not essential, as training can be provided.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their career within the firm.

PARALEGAL ROLE: Paralegal will be responsible for the running of their own conveyancing case-files with supervision and to assist with other administrative work as required.
Previous experience is desirable, although training for the role will be provided.

Good attention to detail and IT proficiency essential.
